History

    The arquipelago is as old as the continent, discovered at the second expedition to Brazil in 1503, for Américo Vespúcio, who called the islands for Saint Lourenço, Vespúcio wrote a letter talking about the place, and he talked about the warter, the trees and animals. In 1504 Saint Lourenço was gave to Fernão Loronha, and after the island’s name passed to Fernando de Noronha. Nowadays it is considered a city.

Economy

    Fernando de Noronha is a geoeconomical region, and your   economy is based on tourism. Its beaches are perfect for scuba diving, around 30 meters in the water, or advanced scuba diving that give you a depth of 62 meters. The archipelago has an incredible sea life, is common to see fishes and sea turtles, maybe you can see a shark or a dolphin, but is rare.
